GLOMAR Bremen International Graduate School for Marine Sciences

GLOMAR aims to educate excellent young scientists who are able to tackle the challenges in a changing world and thereby advance the field of marine sciences.

Goals:

The objectives of the graduate school are:

  • to provide PhD students with the best possible training in marine sciences for a successful career in academia, industry or administration
  • to advance the field of marine global change research by preparing a new generation of marine scientists (in terms of e.g., interdisciplinarity, internationality)
  • to add to the understanding of global change in the marine realm by publishing scientific results in peer reviewed international journals.
