International University of Bremen - School of Engineering and Sciences
The School of Engineering and Science is the combination of different but related fields in one major subject. Examples are Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Geosciences and Astrophysics, or Biochemistry and Cell Biology.
The IUB geosciences group engages in the field of observational and experimental geosciences, including oceanography, geology, geochemistry and geophysics. Particular emphasis is given to the study of continental margins.
The IUB coordinates the activities of an International Research Consortium on Continental Margins (IRCCM) which is constituted by five German research institutions and universities, three US universities and several industrial partners.
