Ocean Plastics Lab

2017-2020

The four walk-in shipping containers provided insights into international research on the topic of plastic waste in the sea and show the contribution of science to understanding and solving the problem. Interactive installations, exhibits, samples or even animations by partners from all over the world are shown and invite visitors to engage intensively with the topic and look at the problem from different perspectives. The Ocean Plastics Lab is a German contribution to the implementation of the G7 Action Plan to combat marine pollution and an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) together with the German Marine Research Consortium, supported by the European Commission and other partners.
