Horizon Europe

Seit seiner Gründung ist KDM in europäischen und internationalen Projekten und Netzwerken aktiv. Dabei sind EU-geförderte Forschungs- und Innovationsprojekte besonders wichtig für den wissenschaftlichen Austausch in Europa und zum Aufbau gemeinsamer europäischer Kapazitäten. Horizon Europe ist das EU-Rahmenprogramm für Forschung und Innovation für 2021 bis 2027. Ziel ist mittels der über Horizont Europa geförderten Projekte eine wissens- und innovationsgestützte Gesellschaft und wettbewerbsfähige Wirtschaft aufzubauen und zu einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung beizutragen.

KDM übernimmt dabei die Rollen eines Türöffners für neue Kontakte, einer Brücke zur politischen Institutionen und Prozessen sowie einer Platform für die Wissenschaft im gesellschaftlichen Dialog. Darüberhinaus beteiligt sich KDM an EU-Projekten, die eine strategische Relevanz für die deutsche Meeresforschung haben.
