Prep4Blue

On the implementation of the EU's "Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030" mission

The PREP4BLUE project aims to support the "development and pilot phase" of the EU mission "Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030".

Project results are to be implemented in identified Lighthouse areas (North and Baltic Sea Region, Mediterranean Sea, Danube River Basin and Atlantic and Arctic Ocean Region) to develop and test innovations of all kinds: technological, social, business models and governance; focussing on the methods that enable co-creation and co-implementation of solutions with citizens and stakeholders. Citizen participation and action methods will be developed to deepen citizen engagement by utilising democratic innovation and co-production of participatory methods.

KDM participation

KDM's contribution includes the creation and realisation of the narrative "What contributions are science and innovation making to achieve the goal of the EU mission "Restore our Seas and Waters by 2030"?". Specifically, KDM is responsible for the internet and social media presence as well as for a pilot exhibition. Scientific policy communication is also included. The work to formulate the narrative includes embedding both EU-funded projects and national contributions (e.g: KÜNO, DAM missions and much more).
