The Marine Science and Technology Studies group was founded in summer 2022 with the aim of creating an inspiring exchange between marine STS scientists and research communities and the German Marine Research Consortium (KDM). The group is open to all scientists who are interested in marine social sciences and the Blue Humanities interest. Since then, the group members have discussed relevant projects and work within the group every semester. In addition, STS scientists such as Stefan Helmreich or Casper Bruun Jensen and natural scientists were invited to discuss their current work on the topic of the sea.
In 2024, a short article about the group will be published in the EASST Review has been published.
More information about the group and how you can join is available on the newly launched Marine STS website.
Four Marine STSing meetings will take place in January 2025. See programme below. We look forward to seeing you virtually!
