International cooperations
Global challenges such as climate change, a sustainable energy supply, the protection of biodiversity or food security do not stop at national borders. No country or research community alone can find answers to these and many other challenges. Even in basic research, no country has the resources to investigate all aspects of the oceans on its own. Only by working together internationally can we better understand the oceans and tackle the different challenges they face. With this in mind, KDM builds international partnerships and supports the Internationalisation Strategy of the Federal Government.
