Project

Black Sea CONNECT

The future of the Black Sea is a major concern for the EU. The Burgas Vision Paper, issued in May 2018 as part of an initiative supported by the European Commission, outlines the main framework for the sustainable development of the Black Sea until 2030, focusing on the creation of a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). It also addresses the development of advanced technology and education. The EU-funded Black Sea CONNECT project supports the development of sustainable business in the Black Sea region through the collaboration of stakeholders from science, technology, industry, policy and logistics.

The Helmholtz Centre HEREON, in coordination with KDM, represents the German marine research community in this project.
