Laboratory #5 "A Safe Ocean

The fifth Ocean Decade Laboratory will take place from 5 to 7 April 2022. It will offer valuable insights and presentations around the Ocean Decade Goal #5: "A safer ocean".

The virtual conference extends over two days and is composed of the elements:

Core Conference | 5 April, 22:00 to 1:15 CEST
Watch the live stream on the event platform, with keynote speeches and panel discussions from scientific experts and stakeholders as well as international initiatives. At the end of each session there will be a Q&A round and networking opportunities directly after the core conference.

Summary | 7 April, 22:00 to 23:30 CEST
Missed something? Check out the summary of all the highlights from the event platform, core conference and satellite activities. Throughout the event, insights into South Pacific islands will be presented by various stakeholders, including local islanders and experts.

48-hour satellite activities
Between the core conference and the final summary, Lab #5 will include a total of 20 satellite activities hosted by a variety of experts from different fields, with topics such as: Volcanic Eruptions, Sargassum, Oil Spills, Tsunamis, GIS, Diving Safety, Training Tools, Social Media Communications and much more!
